The woman running the restaurant was very kind and was excited to share that her dried ingredients were sourced from Ethiopia. The lemonade is made fresh to order and the food was just what we were craving. I didn’t get a very good picture, but it’s because we ate so fast, haha.
Had the meat sampler plater and it was amazing. But the most memorable part was the Ethiopian coffee ritual. They roast green coffee beans in a pan and then grind it for a completely new coffee. Granted it will be different every time but it was the best coffee I've ever had. Far surpassing the Kona coffees I've had. Not bitter or acidic in the slightest. That let's you taste such a complex flavor that has always been hidden. As a foodie it was eye opening.
Best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to several restaurants, both in this area and the NYC area. The food here is better than all of them. I got the meat platter and my girlfriend got the vegan platter. Generous portions and I had plenty of leftovers for another day. The mango juice was fresh and delicious. It actually tasted like a liquid mango. Unreal. My girlfriend got the Ethiopian coffee. It was super rich. Tasted great with sugar.
i beg my boyfriend to go here every time i visit arizona . the vibe is immaculate and the food is the best food ive ever had in my LIFE !!! the vegan plate for one is enough for two people honestly . and the tea is so good (VERY ginger forward and spicy but once you start eating your food it's way less in your face , i'd get it for after your meal)
I’ve been here multiple times and the food is always amazing here! EVERYTHING I’ve tried has been so good even the greens and I’m not a big fan of kale. The coffee was worth the wait. The coffee ceremony was beautiful. 10/10 recommend!
Definitely a must try. If you’re Ethiopian you’ll feel right at home. Real authentic taste, and using all the Ethiopian ways of making the food, with real passion. Second time here and will be here whenever I’m in the area. 5⭐ try the meat/veggie combo
Love love this place. Have been multiple times and taken so many friends and they all love it. It’s one of the best Ethiopian places in town. And their injera is gluten free. Also the owners are so friendly. They also serve freshly roasted Ethiopian coffee
Fantastic new restaurant serving delicious Ethiopian food. The meat combo and Ethiopian beer were delicious. I will definitely eat here again.
